Can vegetarians use the Zone Diet?






Simply focus on adding protein-rich vegetarian foods to your existing diet in the correct ratios of the blocks. Ideal choices are firm and extra-firm tofu, and isolated soybean protein powder. Imitation meat products (hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, etc.) made from soy are another excellent way of getting protein-rich vegetarian foods into your existing meals. It's not necessary to eat meat to enter the Zone. The idea is to remain on 40-30-30 eating plan that means 40 percent carbohydrate, 30 percent each fat and protein.
