Zone Diet Calories - Do calories matter?






Calories do matter, but the hormonal effects of those calories are of even greater importance. Thus, it is recommended that the zone diet calories for each of your meals should not be more than 400 calories. The makeup of those calories determines whether they'll raise or lower your insulin. A high carb meal can raise insulin. The balance of protein and carbohydrates is therefore very important to lower the insulin level and keep the weight off. The only way to lower excess body fat is to lower the insulin level.
